Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Coaching for Children & Teens
* 3 to 5 sessions are recommended in order to see positive changes
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps children and teens release emotions and behaviors that no longer serve them by getting to the root of the issue. It supports emotional healing and positive change in a safe, supportive space.
Life Skills Coaching equips young people with practical tools to manage emotions, build confidence, improve communication, and handle life’s challenges.
Together, these services help children and teens grow healthier, happier, and more resilient.
At Unique Minds Therapeutic Services, everyone is welcome. I support individuals with neurodiversity, disabilities, and those who may require additional care. Together, we create a safe, understanding space where your unique needs are valued and supported.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Young Children (Ages 5–12):
Sessions for younger children require parent involvement. Parents play an important role in supporting their child’s progress by learning strategies to use at home, helping with emotional regulation tools, and reinforcing positive behaviors discussed in sessions.
Teens (Ages 12–18):
Teens may meet mostly one-on-one; however, parents are often involved through periodic check-ins, joint sessions, or goal reviews. During our consultation call, we’ll decide together what level of parent involvement best supports your teen’s needs.
Supporting children means supporting the whole family. When working with children, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, life skills coaching, and other therapeutic approaches to help families overcome challenges, strengthen confidence, and encourage positive, lasting growth.
Using a Family-Centered Approach, I work closely with either the parent alone or with both the parent and the child. Parent participation is a key part of the process, helping to nurture connection, improve communication, and foster deeper understanding within the family.
I offer compassionate guidance, emotional support, and practical tools designed to encourage personal growth and family well-being. 💛 During our consultation, we’ll explore your goals and determine the best path forward for your family’s needs.
Through open dialogue, mindfulness-based practices, and supportive teamwork, we’ll create a foundation for stronger, calmer, and more connected family relationships. 🌿
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps children and teens understand and change unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By identifying the patterns that may be keeping them stuck, CBT supports emotional healing and encourages healthier ways of thinking and coping. This approach provides a safe, supportive space where young people can build confidence, resilience, and lasting positive change.
